Kobe Bryant has died in a helicopter crash in California aged 41. The NBA legend was travelling with four people in his private helicopter when it crashed in Calabasas on Sunday morning, according to multiple reports.

Five people are reported to have died in the accident. Kobe’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, is not thought to have been onboard.

A call for a downed helicopter went out at 10.01am, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. Firefighters attended the scene and put out the flames.

“Unfortunately there were no survivors,” Tony Imbrenda, the Los Angeles County Fire captain, told reporters. ​Imbrenda could not confirm who was on board or who the helicopter belonged to, but it is reportedly Bryant’s aircraft.

Kobe Bean Bryant (born August 23, 1978) is an American former professional basketball player. He played his entire 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He entered the NBA directly from high school and won five NBA championships.

Cristiano Ronaldo has made history by becoming the all-time top goalscorer in football history after scoring his 760th-career goal.

The 35-year-old Portuguese striker reached the stunning landmark after scoring the first goal for Juventus in their 2 – 0 win against Napoli to win the Italian Super Cup on Wednesday night. It was his 1,040 games as a professional footballer.

The new record moved him above Josef Bican – with the Austrian-Czech striker scoring 759 goals between 1931 and 1955.

On January 3, Ronaldo moved above three-time Brazil World Cup winner Pele (757 career goals) into second on this list following a brace in a 4-1 Serie A home win over Udinese.

The former Real Madrid and Manchester United striker now has 760 goals in his storied career.

Kelvin Prince Boateng announces divorce with Melissa Sata

Ghana International Footballer Kelvin Prince Boateng has announced that he has ended his marriage to Melissa Sata.

The former Black Stars player who was involved in Ghana’s controversial run in 2014 in Brazil made this known in a post he shared on social media.

The two have been married since 2016 and had a son together.

Announcing the divorce, Kelvin Prince Boateng said “After a period of separation, we decided to permanently interrupt our relationship, in full respect of each other’s positions and in total serenity”

He indicated that the two will, however, play key roles in the life of their son.

“It being understood that we will remain an important point of reference for each other for the growth of our son Maddox.”

Kelvin Prince Boateng adds to the number of football stars who have had to call it quits with their marriages for reasons best known to them.

Breaking: Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi cured of Coronavirus – ghanapublisher.com

Chelsea’s full squad went into self-isolation after winger Callum Hudson-Odoi tested positive to the coronavirus, the club said in a statement. Hudson-Odoi displayed cold symptoms on Monday morning and has stayed away from the club since then.

A video sited by ghanapublishser.com which Callum Hudson-Odoi was seen healthy and saying he has been cured has surfaced online.

The Blues attacker was confirmed to be suffering from the virus on Thursday evening, when Arsenal also announced that their manager Mikel Arteta had tested positive.

All matches in the Premier League are expected to be called off this weekend, with a potential suspension halting football in the UK for a number of weeks.

Hudson-Odoi posted a video on social media on Friday in which he made clear that he had already recovered.

“Guys, as you may be aware, I’ve had the virus for the last couple of days which I’ve recovered from,” he said.
