A post cited by www.ghanapublisher.com on the official Facebook page of the Member of Parliament for Effutu Constituency in the Central Region Honorable Alexander Kwamena Afenyo Markins, in the post below the honorable member is seen campaigning for 18 and against 3 persons who have contested for the District Assembly elections which comes of 17th of this month. The post generated questionable comments because District Assembly Elections is not yet partisan by our constitution.

I hereby humbly urge all my constituents to participate in the upcoming District Assembly and Unit Committee Elections scheduled for Tuesday 17th December, 2019.
As a member of Parliament, I can deliver effectively if various Electoral Areas elect hardworking people to lead them. I have been an Assemblyman before and I know the many challenges Assembly members face. In Effutu Municipality, we have 18 Electoral Areas. I have worked closely with the following candidates in the past and I strongly believe that, should they win in their respective Electoral Areas, I will be able to deliver better;

  1. Prince Asante
    Mburabamu Electoral Area
    Number 2 on the ballot
  2. Solomon Sampah Sackey (A.K.A. Boys Abr3)
    Nsuekyir Electoral Area
    Number 1 on the ballot
  3. Abdulai Awudu Yakubu
    Sankor, Don- Bosco Electoral Area
    Number 2 on the ballot
  4. Richard Okyer Keelson
    Domeabra Otutuase Electoral Area
    Number 2 on the ballot
  5. Kow Sekum ( A.K.A One man no chop) Osakam/ Fetteh Electoral Area
    Number 2 on the ballot
  6. Ben Fiifi Sackey
    Penkye Electoral Area
    Number 1 on the ballot
  7. Kofi Clef
    Dwoma Electoral Area.
    Number 1 on the ballot
  8. Felix Nii Mensah ( A.K.A Bra Nii)
    Ndaama Electoral Area
    Number 3 on the ballot
  9. Solomon Ebo Reindorf (A.K.A. Uncle Ebo Cherish)
    Abasraba South Electoral Area
    Number 1 on the ballot
  1. Alex Kakra Mensah ( A.K.A. Bro Kakra) Donkornyiem /Obrawogum Electoral Area
    Number 2 on the ballot

    Domeabra Police Training Depo
    Number 2 on the ballot
  3. George Mensah Hanson ( A.K.A. Paa Fii)
    Ponkoekyir Electoral Area
    Number 2 on the ballot
  4. Solomon Heity
    Gyahadze Electoral Area
    Number 1 on the ballot
  5. Samuel Asante
    Kojo Beedu Electoral Area
    Number 1 on the ballot
  6. *Wofa Kofi Kum
    Eyipey Electoral Area
    Number 1 on the ballot
  7. John Nenyi Armah
    Alatakokodo Electoral Area
    Number 1 on the ballot
  8. Alhaji Sanni Mohammed
Abasraba North / Zongo Electoral Area
    Number 1 on the ballot
  9. Elizabeth Awo Sena (A.K.A Awo Awota) Kojo Beedu North, Low cost
    Number 1 on the ballot

I further urge all constituents, particularly voters who live outside the constituency to make it a point to come home and vote. We need a massive win for the above mentioned candidates to make Effutu a better place.
The refusal of the following Assembly Members; Papa Bortsie Ampah from Ponkoekyir Electoral Area, Kennedy Impraim from Mburabamu Electoral Area and Nathaniel Acheampong from Donkornyiem/ Obrawogum Electoral Area to cooperate and work with me to develop their respective areas has affected development in such areas. Shockingly and surprisingly, these 3 gentlemen have put themselves up again as candidates, seeking reelection. I wonder if they truly care for the youth. I urge voters to reject them and their hard line partisan ideology. Their hard line partisan posture must not be entertained any further. The youth and the women in these affected Electoral Areas deserve a fair share of my touching lives initiative
Let us all endeavor to vote and do so on time come Tuesday 17th December, 2019.
