Many times we cry out to God to speak to us anytime we’re nervous, anxious or overwhelmed.

When we need something we look for his voice for guidance. The good news is God still wants to hear from us and talk to us. God speaks to people continuously but too often they skip listening to God’s messages because they only rarely try His guidance – Normally when they are going through a crisis or facing a major decision. Then, people are confused and overwhelmed with a desperate need to hear from God because they don’t know what they should do. They begin to ask how to hear from God and why not

That will not be the way it is. And it can be done, God wants us to hear His messages. The trick is to ignore formulas and jokes to hear from God. Instead, concentrate on the kind of relationship with God that will encourage you to hear God speak frequently.

The closer you get to God, the more you can connect with Him, research and hear from Him and the more God uses these experiences to shape you into the person He wants you to become.

The refusal to listen to God is one of the problems facing Soo many Christians.

What they are not aware of is that God has spoken to them all the time, but they have not understood. You may feel like God doesn’t talk to you, whether you’re not careful or you can’t hear Him. You will discover the different ways God has spoken to you and how you can begin to hear from God after reading this article.

Discover that God created you with Himself for a close friendship.

In a relationship with Him, by definition, how you hear best about God. God wants you to accept His will when you participate openly and intelligently in daily interactions with Him. God’s will is to come personally with you and chat immediately to you as you walk through life. Then you will become more like His Father, Jesus, to truly understand Him.

Do more than just hear God for your goal.

Your ultimate goal should not be this, while hearing from God. Put your main goal in a close relationship with God to be a spiritually mature human. Only thus can you hear what God has to teach you clearly and correctly.

Try not to push Him to say anything to you.

No matter how much you want to hear from God or how much you can force Him to speak to you, it’s only when He wants to communicate with you that you can hear from God. Keep on having a healthy relationship with God and wait until His time sends you messages. However, if God will not determine what you have wished for and what you believe is within the Scripture moral values, you will freely continue to make your own choices as to what you do and what you find to be within the will of God..

LISTEN AND PAY ATTENTION

The first step to learning from God is listening and paying careful attention. Do not listen to the conversation or the reaction, but watch out and get clarity. God doesn’t like speaking when it’s loud and busy everywhere, even though He can talk at these moments, but you hear God the best in silence. So start listening from now on, and paying attention away.

Recognize God’s voice above all others.
From practice, you can learn to understand God’s voice when He speaks and to respond confidently to what He says. When recurring thoughts, pray over them to determine if they can come from God. Mind that God would never give you a message that contradicts Bible values. God’s voice often holds the weight of power within it and communicates a spirit of love, confidence, happiness, reasonableness, and goodwill. If you think that God will speak to you, ask Him to clarify as you read and meditate on the Scriptures, as you are alert to the circumstances you find yourself in, or as you sense the Holy Spirit’s thoughts in your mind.

Recognize that God interacts with your mind in many ways, but most frequently.

God may select any of several different ways to communicate with you, depending on what’s best at various times and situations in particular. Often in dramatic ways, for example by angels, dreams, or extraordinary occurrences, you will hear God’s message. But more often than not, you will hear God-talk in your thoughts and He will use ordinary activities like reading the Scriptures, praying silently, learning from situations, or finding guidance from other Christians to reach out to you while you think about them. If appropriate, God will use dramatic means to get your attention, but His intention is for you to be so closely related to Him that you will be vigilant as He interacts with you. God typically talks through what people have described as a “still, small voice” to inspire those He loves to want to walk closely with Him through life.

DREAMS

You ‘re in big trouble if you don’t dream, because if things don’t go well, you won’t know why, or what God is doing about it. The first step to being safe is this, if you’re dreaming. God communicates by visions. He will warn you, and inform you through dreams to show the future to you. And if you’re dreaming, you’ll probably feel a part of the message from God for you.

THE BIBLE

God has already spoken to you and the Bible reflects it. He has already given you directions and told you what could happen in the future. God has made you aware of His blessings and rights in Him. And to ask Him again is like repetition. You can hear God through His Word. If you want to read the Bible, you listen to God’s word for you.

INTUITION/FEELING

You could be in a situation and just feel the need to do something, because the situation will be solved when you do it or you will get your testimony. It is God who guides you by your thoughts and your emotions and talks to you. But, if you have the desire to do something wrong, then this is the devil. It is God who listens to you and encourages you by giving you His peace about it, when you feel the need to do something and have great peace in mind.

VISIONS

You can also just see moving images, or only move through them like a video app. That’s like a vision, and God is speaking to remind you and show you through dreams and to assure you of it.

THROUGH SYMBOLS

If you think for it and go about your day, you see a message about it, it’s God talking to you. For example, you ‘re praying to God for a job, and the next day someone comes to tell you that they’ve just got a new job, that’s a sign from God that you’re on the way. Instead of asking “Why when” Why talks by signs and signals you will be satisfied, responsibility is left to you.

THROUGH OTHERS

God will send someone to ask you. The message is His Word to you. It may be a sermon preaching to you, the priest, something that someone demands of you or an order given to you. God will talk to you through others so don’t take it for granted. There are some of the ways God converses with you. My question to you is this: Have you ever seen any of these? If so, perhaps God has already spoken to you. It should be on the scale of your current point of prayer. Tell God that you want to hear Him more because you are already listening to Him and you want a deep friendship with Him.

Let me know the various ways God talks to you in the section Comments. Don’t forget to share this post and inspire others too.

A prison inmate whose life was saved with my inhaler now in Germany – Tsatsu Tsikata

Legal practitioner Tsatsu Tsikata has in giving an account of the severe asthmatic attack he suffered in jail at the Nsawam Prison, revealed how an act of kindness nearly cost him his life.

Tsatsu was an inmate of the Nsawam Prison after being found guilty of causing financial loss to the state by an Accra High Court presided over by Justice Henrietta Abban.

The former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Petroleum Commission was jailed on June 18, 2008, for his role in a loan facility the GNPC guaranteed for Valley Farms, a private cocoa-growing company.

Tsatsu said on Pan African TV that a day before he experienced his attack, a prisoner came to him to plead for help for another inmate who was under attack.

Tsatsu says he gave the inmate his inhaler despite being aware of the dangers.

“The day that I ended up being taken out of prison with [an] asthmatic attack. The day before that, one of the prisoners came to me and said that a prisoner has a bad asthma attack and if there was something I could do to help with medication.

“By then, my wife had brought me a new inhaler. A much stronger one than my inhaler. As soon as he said, I gave it to him and by evening I had my own attack which was beyond the Ventolin inhaler.

“By morning, the situation clearly was dangerous. I could have died, it was that dangerous. The director then was feeling so helpless because they took me to Nsawam Hospital, they couldn’t manage the situation. There [was] to be an evacuation to Korle Bu or 37 or wherever.

“It was my wife who had to organize [an] ambulance from Koforidua to come to Nsawam because there was no ambulance anywhere. And first to 37 and they realized that the ICU could probably not handle the situation so they took me to Korle Bu,” he narrated.

Tsatsu Tsikata, however, felt some sense of fulfilment after he learnt of the impact of his act of kindness ten years on.

“The good news is that I was able to have medical attention and thank God I’m still alive. That also meant, the prisoner was also saved and can you believe that ten years from the day that I went to prison, we went with Pastor Jones and a medical team to do a medical outreach?

“A prisoner walks to me and ask do you remember me? I’m the one who came for that inhaler to give to the person who had [an] asthmatic attack. That person is always grateful to you because his life was saved, he came out of prison and now he is in Germany. And he can’t stop recalling that inhaler moment. That is why I say that they might mean it for evil but God meant it for good,” he said.

Notorious armed robber’s jail term increases to 90 years

Prince Adu, also known as Dracula, a notorious armed robber, who was handed a cumulative 63 years jail sentence by a Ho Circuit Court for three robbery offences, had his jail term increased to 90 years when the court sentenced him to an additional 27 years in hard labour for a similar offence.

The robber, who pleaded guilty to the charge, would have his new sentence run concurrently with the earlier convictions.

Narrating the fact to the court, presided over by Felix Datsomor, Chief Inspector Stephen Atidzon said the complainant (name withheld) is a trader and resident of New Housing, a suburb of Ho.

He said the complainant, who was returning to her house from Ho Barracks New Town, stopped a motorcycle, which had the convict and his accomplice, a juvenile, now committed in a borstal home on board on May 29, last year, at about 2200 hours.

The prosecution said the convict after hearing where the destination of the victim was, asked her to get on board and told her that he and his accomplice would be alighting soon.

Chief Inspector Atidzon said on reaching Donorkordzi cemetery, the complainant opted to alight, seeing that the vehicle was heading into the bush.

Prosecution said the convict also alighted immediately with the complainant and snatched her purse containing an amount of Gh¢100.00 and her itel mobile phone valued at Gh¢500.00.

He said the juvenile then removed a two-edged sharp machete from his bag and gave it to the convict and they started assaulting the complainant.

Prosecution said the rider tried to intervene and pleaded on behalf of the victim but the convict ordered him to move away from the scene immediately, which he did, leaving the victim behind.

Chief Inspector Atidzon said the victim, in an attempt to protect herself against the assault, held the edge of the machete, and the convict pulled it, resulting in a deep cut in her palm.

Prosecution said the convict then ordered the victim to remove her dress and he forcibly had sex with her after which he asked the victim to give him an additional money.

He said the convict, after having sexual intercourse with the complainant, ordered her to sit on one of the tombs whilst they leave, threatening to kill her if she disobeyed the order.

Prosecution said after the convict and his accomplice left, the victim quickly ran to Godokpui Police checkpoint and reported the incident to the Police on duty and they also informed the patrol team.

The juvenile was arrested on a motorcycle but the convict managed to escape, the Prosecution said.

Prosecution said on February 18, this year, the convict was arrested in a different case and was re-arrested on February 27, and pleaded guilty to the offence in his investigation statement, hence the stiffer punishment.
