Melbourne International Graduate Research Scholarships Ph.D. 2020/2021

Every year, the University of Melbourne, Australia awards The Melbourne International Research Scholarship (MIRS) for international students to study for Masters and Ph.D.

About Scholarship: The Melbourne Research Scholarship (MRS) was established by the University of Melbourne and is awarded to high achieving domestic and international research students. The University awards over 300 scholarships per year to international students.

From 2016, the Melbourne International Research Scholarship (MIRS) is part of the Melbourne Research Scholarship program.

Eligibility

To be considered for the Melbourne Research Scholarship, you must:

  • have applied for and meet the entry requirements for a Master or Doctorate by research degree at the University of Melbourne, or be currently enrolled in a research degree at the University of Melbourne and have at least 12 months (full-time equivalent) of candidature remaining, and

Selection Criteria: Melbourne Research Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit. Eligible applicants are scored and ranked according to their academic achievement of their last completed degree and their research potential in their field of study. Factors such as relevant professional experience, refereed publications, specialist medical qualifications or composition of original music may be taken into consideration.

Duration of Scholarship: The duration of the Melbourne Research Scholarship is two years for students undertaking a Master by research degree and up to 4 years, for students undertaking a Doctorate by research degree.

Application Procedure

Application Form – How to Apply:

  • If you have accepted a graduate research course offer and deferred commencement in order to be reconsidered for a scholarship, you must submit an online application form by 31 October to be considered for a scholarship in the following year. You will receive a notification that a scholarship application has been added to your record within seven days of having submitted the online form.
  • If you are currently enrolled in a graduate research course for which you seek a scholarship, you must submit an online application form by 31 October to be considered for a scholarship in the following year. You will receive a notification that a scholarship application has been added to your record within seven days of having submitted the online form.

Breaking: COVID-19, Family escaping Accra lock-down to New Edubiase gets gory accident – ghanapublisher.com

Father, pregnant wife and son with two brothers of the husband is reported to be in a critical condition after involving in a gory accident in an attempt to escape the Accra lock down by government towards combating the pandemic coronavirus (COVID-19).

The family was traveling from Accra to New Edubiase in the Ashanti Region.

The Accident occurred around 4am this morning on the Mankesin to New Edubiase road.

The pregnant woman with her family is on admission at the Mankesim government hospital responding to treatment.
