Video: Beyoncé and Jay-Z stay seated during Super Bowl national anthem performance – ghanapublisher.com

Music superstars Beyoncé and Jay-Z chose to remain seated during Demi Lovato’s performance of the national anthem at Super Bowl LIV.
The pair attended the game with their daughter Blue Ivy, who also stayed in her seat, according to TMZ.
In images obtained by the outlet, the musical family can be seen sitting during the performance while others stood.
Jay-Z’s entertainment company Roc Nation holds a partnership with the NFL, giving him a say in what artists perform at major NFL events — including the Super Bowl.
After the song, DJ Khaled stopped by and spoke with Jay-Z, which was also seen in TMZ’s photos.
Jay-Z recently spoke to the New York Times about his partnership with the NFL, insisting that it was not made for economic gain, but instead to promote education surrounding social justice.
“As long as real people are being hurt and marginalized and losing family members, then yes, I can take a couple rounds of negative press,” he said of the backlash received for the partnership, which some say as a betrayal of Colin Kaepernick and his protests within the NFL.
“No one is saying he hasn’t been done wrong. He was done wrong,” Jay-Z said. “I would understand if it was three months ago. But it was three years ago and someone needs to say, ‘What do we do now — because people are still dying?”

D-Black’s night club disconnected by ECG for power theft – ghanapublisher.com

Oasis Pool and Shisha Lounge in Accra has been cut off from the national grid for power theft.
The night club, which is said to be owned by popular hiplife musician D-Black, is located at Cantonments behind the police headquarters in Accra.
Operators were caught red handed by the National Taskforce of the Electricity Company of Ghana for bypassing the meter to use electricity.
The Taskforce visited the premises of the lounge, where it uncovered the illegality, which is alleged to have taken place for a long time.
The ECG has since served notice to the managers of the facility to report at their office for further interrogation.
A number of public and private institutions have been caught over the past five weeks ever since the power distributor declared war on debtors and illegal connections.
When Citi News visited the facility, it was observed that the lounge depends heavily on power to sustain its operations.
They use sound systems, refrigerators, and other electrical gadgets.
